Quebec Investors
The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program is an accelerated selection program designed to rapidly issue a Quebec Selection Certificate to eligible foreign investors. There are no age or language restrictions, and no conditions are placed on the investor upon entry to Canada.
To qualify you must intend to settle in the Province of Quebec, have alone, or with your accompanying spouse net assets of at least $1,600,000 CAD that was obtained legally, have at least two years experience managing at least two full-time employees within the last five years, and sign an agreement to invest $800,000 CAD with a financial intermediary authorized to participate in the Quebec Immigrant Investor Program. The investment of $800,000 CAD is guaranteed by the Quebec Provincial Government and will be reimbursed after five years without interest.
A one-time financing fee of approximately $180,000 CAD which is paid to a government-approved financial intermediary, and which will not be reimbursed, can be substituted for the investment of $800,000 CAD. The government-approved financial intermediary finances the difference, and invests the $800,000 CAD with the Quebec Provincial Government on your behalf. The one-time financing fee is particularly attractive because you can avoid having to liquidate your assets or use funds you could otherwise invest in other business opportunities.
