  • provincial nominee programs during 2019 held 10 times more draws than Express Entry

A total of 654 Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) candidates were invited to apply for permanent residence in Canada's latest Express Entry draw on February 10.

Invited candidates must have had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) of at least 720 to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA).
Those who receive a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 CRS points. This may explain why the minimum CRS requirement is high.
However, the CRS requirement is 21 points lower than in the last PNP-specific Express Entry draw.
This is the fifth draw of the year. This draw brings the total number of invitations issued so far in 2021 to 10,654.
