Canada Ranked as Top Destination for Job Seekers

A recent study by Jobseeker has named Canada as the number one destination for individuals seeking work abroad. Canada was the most popular choice among job seekers from various countries, including Costa Rica, Germany, India, Japan, and Mexico, with Australia, Switzerland, and the United States following closely behind.

The study highlights Canada’s appeal due to its Express Entry system, which ranks candidates based on factors like work experience, education, and language skills, simplifying the pathway to permanent residency. Additionally, employment rates for immigrants in Canada are high, with recent data showing 77.8% of newcomers employed within five years of arrival.

Top countries to relocate for work, based on the study:

  • Canada
  • Australia
  • Switzerland
  • United States
  • Singapore
  • Denmark
  • Saudi Arabia
  • United Kingdom
  • Germany

Other reasons for Canada’s popularity include its strong economy, publicly-funded healthcare, and a high quality of life. In 2024’s U.S. News rankings, Canada was also ranked as the 4th best country overall, driven by factors such as social purpose and entrepreneurial opportunities.
