  • Express Entry, PNPs set to drive immigration to Canada over next 3 years

Canada’s Agri-Food Pilot officially closed to new applications as of February 13, 2025, after reaching its annual cap of 1,010 applicants. Those who submitted applications before this date will continue to have them processed.

Launched initially in 2020, this pilot aimed to provide permanent residency opportunities to workers in meat product manufacturing, greenhouse production, floriculture, mushroom production, and animal production sectors. Although originally intended as a three-year program, it was extended in 2023 to run until May 14, 2025.

As of now, no further extensions or replacement programs have been announced, marking the definitive closure of this immigration pathway.
