  • Quebec Immigration Investor Program Reopens

    The popular Quebec Investor program (QIIP) has reopened for up to 1,900 new applications, as of May 29, 2017. The QIIP is Canada's only currently available passive investor immigration program, and throughout the years it has proven popular — the intake is expected to fill before the scheduled end date of the application cycle, February 23, 2018.

  • Quebec Investor Program Intake Dates

    The Ministère de l'Immigration, de la Diversité et de l'Inclusion (MIDI) has announced that the intake dates for Quebec Investor applications will extend from January 5, 2015 to January 30, 2015. A maximum of 1750 applications will be accepted. Of which, a maximum of 1200 applications from the People's Republic of China will be accepted. However, candidates who have an advanced intermediate knowledge of French are not subject to the cap and may submit an application at any time.

  • Reform of the Interim Federal Health Program

    The coverage available to protected persons, refugee claimants and others through the Interim Federal Health Program is being reformed. The biggest change will be the ending of coverage to all beneficiaries for dental care, vision care, mobility assistive devices and pharmacy care other than medications and immunizations needed to treat a disease that poses a risk to public health or a condition of public saftey concern.
    The changes take effect on June 30,2012

  • USA EB5 - Applications on the Rise due to Upcoming Price Increase

    According to the latest legislation EB5 investment amounts increased in September 2015. Under the new legislation, investment levels would increase from $500,000 to $800,000 in Targeted Employment Areas (TEAs), and from $1M to $1.2M in non-TEAs. This legislation is expected to be approved and come into effect on September 30, 2015, and EB5 application levels are already increasing.
