Four provinces have invited candidates in most recent provincial immigration draws.
Recent consultations outline the possibility of targeting Express Entry candidates who have key attributes such as occupation, sector, being a temporary resident, and French language proficiency.
A total of 127 invitations were under the Labour and Express Entry streams. Nine invitations were issued under PEI’s business impact and work permit stream with a minimum point threshold of 65. The total number of invitations for this draw is less than the most recent draw on May 20, when 153 invitations were issued.
In 2021, Ontario welcomed 198,000 new permanent residents, or nearly 49% of all new permanent residents in Canada.
The province welcomes over 15,000 immigrants per year through its various immigration streams.
